Does toothpaste really help in eradicating spots?

I heard if you put toothpaste on a spot overnight it will kind of burn it off..is this true?!Does toothpaste really help in eradicating spots?
It might help, but it really dries your skin out. I use toothpaste in emergencies but most of the time my skin is clear by washing it with a gentle spot control wash; I use Clearasil.

Toothpaste won't always help, but give it a try if you have a spot-related emergency (like a big one the day before an important event, yeah we all know what that's like). I'd put some on before you go to bed and leave it on overnight. Remember to wash it off in the morning! It shouldn't do any damage even if it doesn't help reduce the size of the spot, apart from to dry your skin. Moisturise afterwards and you'll be fine!Does toothpaste really help in eradicating spots?
heya: lucy :)

well for some people it works but others it doesnt

for me because i have very bad acne

my face turns red and my spots appear more red

but for others their spots will start too feel very dry and eventually fall off.

so its true and false i suppose.
it might work by drying the spot out for some people, but rather just wash your face with a mild cleanser, apply some witch hazel or tea tree oil to blemishes then moisturise with a moisturiser suited to your skin type.
Yeah it's true, it works just as well as a spot cream and the spot will feel smaller within minutes!
