Does toothpaste really work for spots?

Also, how does it work, and how long does it take to work....Overnight?

It's supposed to make them look better by drying it out and getting rid of the stuff inside it. Usually, it just burns like friggin CRAZY!Does toothpaste really work for spots?
Only a toothpaste with TRICLOSAN in it is going to work, if any. It's an antibacterial put in the toothpaste to control the bacteria in your mouth and help prevent cavities... it theoretically also helps control the bacteria that make zits erupt and kills it so the zit goes away faster.

I'm not sure how long it takes to work... it's not really an A-1 go to method for keeping your skin clear. But it won't hurt to try it. USe it at bedtime and Try and use the plainest tothpaste you can find... and it should be PASTE not GEL, like the original colgate which I believe has triclosan in it. When you're shopping, look at the labels, it'll tell you in the ACTIVE ingredients int he triclosan is there.

Good luck.
No, it's actually really bad for your skin.
yes it works it dries out your pimple and thats what you need for it to go away
no it doesn't but it is really good for pimples BUT it kind of hurts :)
Toothpaste does have properties that can dry out pimples quicker, however I don't think it is the best method to use. It is not specially formulated for you face so it can cause further irritation if you have sensitive skin. Try Bye Bye Blemish (sold in Rite Aid and CVS type drug stores - or online). I swear by it. It is the best overnight spot treatment ever!!!
It's supposed to dry them out helping them to go away quicker. It didn't work for me though, it just made it more inflamed. grrr
i use it if i have a spot which is not quiet deveolped but its bigger, then normal but you just dap it on the spot before bed and wash it off in the morning it just drys it up faster

it works for me.
