Good question. The Paul Mitchell shampoo may not be the best for what you're trying to use it for as typically their shampoos are nice gentle products and give you a light cleaning; this is unless you bought the clarifying shampoo. What I would recommend is that you visit your local beauty supply store that sells a lot of types of high-end hair products and ask the sales representatives for samples. They should be able to provide you with quite a few to take home and try. Sephora does this at their stores too. This way you can see which shampoo is effective for you before the commitment of buying a whole bottle. Good luck!
