I've tried over the counter remedies such as freederm and they dont always help, but I have on by my eyebrow now and I feel like I've got a rhino horn sprouting from my face, they throb and never get a head on them. Any advice on what can calm them down?
ThanksI generally have clear skin, but the spots I get always swell huge and rarely get a head, how do I calm them?
I had the same issue and I couldn't find anything that worked well on them. I finally went to my dermatologist. He put me on Accutane. There are a lot of side effects...you CAN NOT get pregnant while you're on this stuff and it really dries out your skin. I got some mild skin rashes on the backs of my hands, but in the end it cleared up those 'rocks' (as I called them) and I've not had any since. For me, the side effects were worth it so I wouldn't have to have the embarrassment of having those rocks anymore on my face. I hope you find something that works for you!I generally have clear skin, but the spots I get always swell huge and rarely get a head, how do I calm them?
I have the same issue and someone suggested that I look at my diet, namely cutting out dairy products.I haven't completely cut them out but near, and I hardly ever get them now. Keep tabs of what you are eating around the time you get them.
I feel your pain.

clearasil deep pore treatment is really good, it actually gets rid of spots in aroud 2-3 days or if you really need a more effective treatment go to your local spa and get a sport facial for only a tenner
Haha, I get those too! They swell and swell and you end up looking like a greasy Elephant Man!
Have you tried holding ice against it? This should hlep to cool it down. Haemorrhoid cream's pretty good too for reducing the swelling...
Somebody recommended toothpaste' I'm not sure if it works but it's worth a try
What is your diet like?
Cut down/out on junk food, satuated fats and eat plenty of fresh organic fruit and veg lean meats and fish.
Also drink as much water as you can a day,try to get your pee to become clear.
Hope this has helped.

these sound more like blind boils - try using a facial machine that steams your face - this will open ur pores and help them to keep clean !
Read some useful skin care tips and more on this site to help you with it
Toothpaste will help dry it up. Also drink loads of water. I have started using Dermalogica skin products and they have made a major difference to my skin. It can be pricey but can last a while and its worth it as you feel more confident if your skin is good.
you should ask ur skin doctor.....use clearasil gel when u wash ur face.........
I have tried toothpaste before on pimples and it worked for me. I put it on in the evening and slept with it on my face through the night. In the morning the pimple was not completely gone but def was smaller.
