How can I reduce spots?

Lately I've been starting to get more spots than usual.

How do I reduce them?

I'd like to know what products and stuff you use :)

I have pretty sensitive skin, I've tried a few brands that just made my skin a little rashy.

How can I reduce spots?
There is advice on this website for spotitis.

http://www.iansanswers.co.uk

How can I reduce spots?
Freederm worked for me to.

It is a miracle worker and is great as it doesn't irritate sensitive skin, the only down side is that it is quite expensive at around 拢8 a time, but it is available at most pharmacies and chemists such as Boots and Superdrug and also available at some big supermarkets.

When applying to skin you only need about a pea size on your finger and spread evenly over the skin then wipe away any excess with a cotton pad, it is as easy as that.
How to Reduce Age Spots?

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You鈥檒l Need:

Sunscreen Suntan Lotion

Fade cream

Step1:

Prevent them from getting worse by using a sunscreen when you go out, paying particular attention to your face and hands. Make sure you choose a sunscreen that blocks UVA and UVB rays and has an SPF of at least 15. Age spots are caused by a lifetime of exposure to the sun, so you can stop them from getting worse by covering up.

Step2:

Wear a long-sleeved shirt and wide-brimmed hat when you know you'll be in the sun.

Step3:

Use an alpha-hydroxy cleanser and lotion on areas of the skin that have age spots. It helps to fade them.

Step4:

Apply a fade cream like Esoterica or Ambi to the skin at night. They help to restore skin to a uniform color. The prescription medication Retin-A works like a fade cream on age spots.

Step5:

Have a dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon remove them with a laser if nothing else works

Tips %26amp; Warnings:

If you have any questions or concerns, contact a physician or other health care professional before engaging in any activity related to health and diet. This information is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice or treatment.

OTHER ANSWERS:

Laser treatement by a dermatologist is the fastest way to get rid of these spots but don't waste your money on it if you are unwilling to wear sunblock every day on your face and hands afterward. (You'll just get new spots.) A cheaper way to get rid of them, albeit slower, is to use a fading cream. Currently the best cream to get rid of age spots is Tri-Luma, which is available in a generic version to save money. This cream contains 4% hydroquinone (you can only get 2% strength without a prescription), plus Retin-A (generic name is tretinoin) and a steroid to reduce the harsh effects of the Retin A (redness, peeling.) I wouldn't waste my money on any store or internet product. As for the UK banning hydroquinone, there's nothing to be alarmed at with this ingredient. The only ill effects known to have occured have been with high doses to which people were exposed in industrial setti

and also...

Liver spots are brownish, yellowish blemishes which are often first noticed on the arms and hands, then the face. They can also appear on the chest, back, and less frequently, the legs and torso.

Liver spots are a result of the skin trying to protect itself from sun exposure by producing an overabundance of melanin, the pigment in your skin. However, it's worth being aware that they can be brought on or increased by bad health, or problems with the liver functions.

After using the Benefit Boo Boo Zap you will find your spots get better within a couple of days. Lots of celebs also use this and recommend it in mags etc so it must be good! You can pick it up for less than 拢10 from various websites including http://www.beautyparlor.co.uk

I used have a problem with spots, every product I tried nothing seemed to work. But then I saw an advert on the TV for freederm. I went to my local chemist and bought some for about 8 pounds. And it worked for me, and it is specially developed for sensitive skin.
what kind of spots are you talking about? if you're referring to sun damage AVON has a great product for lightening those spots, you would use it daily, it's a lotion. and to help not get anymore, always use a sunscreen even in the winter before going outside always
Clearasil for sensitive skin with the granules in it as this will exfoliate your skin. Drink lots of water, avoid oily make up and cleaners etc. Remove you makeup properly before bed. Eat lots of fresh fruit and veg

Does putting toothpaste on spots at night before you go to bed really get rid of them or not?

I was reading on a website on how to get rid of spots and they said to put toothpaste on them before going to bed.

Is that true or not? o_oDoes putting toothpaste on spots at night before you go to bed really get rid of them or not?
No.Does putting toothpaste on spots at night before you go to bed really get rid of them or not?
It's suppose to dry them, but it depends on your tipe of skin..is it oily, or dry..and it depends on how old and how big and what kind of spot/pimple it is.

Toothpaste, baking soda etcs should help, but if you do want faster results, than you should use OXY 5 or OXY 10, depending on how many spots/pimples you have.

good luck
What kind of spots? Like freckles? You need to be a little more specific...sorry.

Maybe it does help, but maybe it just makes a really big mess. Who knows?

-GO AMUTO-
I'd have to say no. But I have not tried it myself so why don't you go and try it and let us know if it does or not.
it dries them up, and then that makes them heel after theyre dried. so it helps get rid of them.
that and baking soda, but it takes more then a day to see results.

When I sew, the bottom thread is bunched up in spots even though the top looks okay. What am I doing wrong?

You're either misthreading or not starting the seam correctly. Try the 10 minute fix... it'll catch both problems:

The 10 minute fix for most of what ails most sewing machines:

-- Dig out the manual. Take all the thread out of/off of the

machine. Pull the needleplate and the bobbin case if it's

removeable. Clean and oil per the manual's recommendation. Use a

brush and vacuum, not compressed air (which blows lint in

farther), and real sewing machine oil, not 3-in-1 type oil (it

hardens and freezes the machine) nor WD-40 type stuff (it's a

solvent, not a lubricant).

-- Put in a new needle of the correct point style for the fabric

you're sewing (ballpoint for knits, sharps for wovens) and the

right size for the thickness of fabric (10/70 for shirting weight

fabrics, 12/80 for heavy shirtings or light pantsweight. 14/90

for medium to heavy pantsweight, 16/100 for very heavy fabrics.

Make sure the needle is in right way around -- a needle in

backwards will skip stitches or not stitch at all.

-- Rethread, with manual in hand. Make sure the presser foot is

UP when you thread the top -- it opens the top tension so that

the thread actually gets in between the tension disk (loops on

the bottom, not enough tension on top).

-- Fetch up the bobbin thread. You need about a 4'; tail of thread

top and bottom. Run both threads under the presser foot and

behind it.

-- If you've been playing with the top tension, set it to 4. If

you've been playing with the bobbin tension, let me know and

we'll try to rebalance it, but you're likely to have to take it

into the shop.

Now, each and every time you start to sew a seam, this is how you

do it:

1) Place the fabric under the needle, and use the handwheel to

lower the needle into the fabric (be sure to turn it the right

way... seee the manual).

2) Drop the presser foot.

3) Hold the thread tails behind the presser foot with your left

hand.

4) Take a couple of stitches

5) Drop the thread tails and sew normally.

For pimples and spots on face here are a few solutions that can help...

- Splash your face with cold water at least 4 to 5 times in a day

- Wash your face at least twice a day with a gentle moisturiser

- Don't stop using a moisturiser just cos you have oily skin. Switch to a oil free one that will moisturise without giving you a greasy look. Look at options like Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil lotion, Kaya or Neutrogena

- Try a mixture of milk powder, a lil honey, a pinch of turmeric and a few drops of lemon juice. Apply and wash off after 15 minutes. Will help give a good glow.

- Even raw, unboiled milk applied first thing in the day will help lighten spots...

- Follow a procedure of cleansing, toning and moisturising. Use a alcohol free toner.

- Use a gentle scrub twice a week. A tea tree oil solution like the one from Body Shop will help control the spots and the marks they leave

- For a lasting solution you can invest in gentle peels. Visit a good skin doc or a reputed skin clinic likc Kaya where the dermatalogist will analyse your skin and recommend solutions suited for your skin. In fact for the summer they have a solution called Acne Free .. which should suit you...
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.
I've been using Dial Gold Antibacterial hand soap (liquid) for about a week now and there's a HUGE change. Everyone at my work has complemented how clear my face has gotten. It does tend to dry out spots on my face especially my chin so I've been using a facial moisturizer for that. I use twice daily when I wake up and before bed. Using it anymore than that could cause your acne to become worse because you'll be getting rid of all the good and bad natural oils.
try reducing or stopping ur intake of oily stuff and sweets...sometimes they cause acne with some people.

u can mash about 200 grams of papaya, mix it with 2 spoons of honey and apply it everyday on ur face for an hour and wash off with cool water.

drinks lots of water to flush out toxins...make sure ur daily motions are good and regular.

also u can squeeze half a lemon, mix with honey and apply for 15 minutes and wash off with water.

and then u can also try mixing a large spoon of honey with two good pinches of cinnamon powder and apply it over night.

good facewashes like garnier that work against acneand recurrence really work....try johnson and johnsons' clean and clear...worked wonders with me.

good luck.
I use AcneFree and it works sooooo wellll!

When I run out I usually just use toothpaste on single pimples, and wash my whole face with a fragrance free regular soap. Facial cleaning soap dries out my face for some reason.

Also, make sure your hair is up off of your face. If you have bangs or things like that, the grease and sweat from your hair gets all over your face.

The first week I ever pulled my hair up off of my face, most of my acne started to clear up by itself.

Don't touch your face either. Try to use toilet paper or those Oil pads you can buy at the drugstore. Especially in places like the crooks of your nose, chin, and forehead.
Mix sandalwood paste with rose water and Fuller's earth (it is a clay) and apply it on the face. Keep it for 15 minutes and wash it off with warm water followed by cold water. This natural remedy is effective for pimples and spots .More on natural skin care at http://healthbeautytips.net/Skincare.htm
Dont use any thingonly home remedies if you are a teenage.

I went on birthcontrol and drank A LOT of water, and washed with hot water and soap before bed, and I look waaaaaaaaaaay better.

Try it maybe....Well. not the b/c part.

Haha.

Water, Good diet

oKAY, what I found out about pro-active and this over product that just as bad is that you constintly need to use it, and that when you first use it you break-out like crazy...Plus there are all types of skin, and anyone might be sensitive to those products.
Use some pure lemon juice! I swear it works! Wash face with warm water and soap, rinse, than apply some lemon juice to your face with a washrag. It not toxic to the environment, and works great. Unless your allergic to lemons!
my suggestion would be go for Natural remediess.

pimples are due deficiency in cells so do not go for the retinol content which most creams have.

go for equal quantities of lemon and honey leave for 20 min..and see the results
plain old bar soap and just scrub the nightmare out of your face everytime you shower. i haven't had a large pimple in years with that method. but if your between the ages of 14 to 20.... there's no way, your just stuck with bad skin until you get older.
using the orange dial soap works just use it before bed and don't leave it on to long it may dry out your skin and to get rid of blemishes you can buy cremes
Drink loads of water and use a face wash daily.

Neutrogena and Clean %26amp; Clear products have been known to clear acne; only use Clearasil, etc. if you have SEVERE acne.
Don't eat spicy n sweet thing n don't just touch dem they might grow more n more on ur face n wash ur face without soap might help u n use only when it is require....
well,i too have lot of pimples and nowadays i am using clean n clear's acne clearing face wash n it working.
Use toothpaste, not the gel.
best thing would be going to a parlour and getting some advice ... some herbal treatments might help

  • How to clear spots for good?

i have red spots and once one goes another appears,

how can i get rid of these with home products?

i have used st. ives, all the names. How to clear spots for good?
they wont stop untill your hormones have stop messing about all these fancy products make me mad a good diet and loads of water is great and works

idiot below me toothpaste does not work just makes the spot dry and worserHow to clear spots for good?
I can't tell you this will make your acne disappear permanently, but I find using Alpha Hydrox foaming face wash for normal to oily skin very effective. Alpha Hydrox is also less expensive than most facial cleansers. I also rub Witch Hazel astringent on the blemishes themselves (I like Witch Hazel because it cleanses but doesn't make skin flaky or dry). I have a prescription topical gel, but I just recommend to stay away from Clean %26amp; Clear and stuff -- it does absolutely nothing for me, or ends up irritating my skin farther.

If you don't want to use Alpha Hydrox, use a non-oily acne facial cleanser and rinse well -- traces of soap left on face can cause acne. A better alternative is warm saltwater or warm water with baking soda -- although traces left on skin shouldn't cause acne, be sure to rinse thoroughly.

Lastly, keep your hair clean by showering frequently and rinsing thoroughly to insure shampoo is gone, and keep your hair out of your face -- gel it up, wear a bandanna (though that might look a little odd). Hair carries natural oils that can rub onto your face, causing acne.

As for home remedies, try vinegar, honey (a natural antibacterial), or baking soda mixed into a paste with tap water. For all of these, apply to affected areas and wait thirty minutes to an hour, then rinse well with cool water. Keep in mind playing with the acne too much causes irritation and can leave annoying scars.

    Good luck!
    1. Drink at least 2 litres of water a day (but don't go crazy because you can make yourself ill).

    2. Dab either toothpaste, tea tree oil or whatever on yout spots before bed to dry them up - whatever works best for yout skin type.

    3. Try to wear hardly any foundation, concealer or any other make-up on your skin because it will only clog them. If you absolutly have to , wear a treated product like almay and an oil free base.

    4. Get fresh air! Get outside and let your skin breath.

    5. Do a face mask every week. Choose one that best suits your skin type.

    6. Try to keep your hair off your face and don't be tempted to tounch your skin or pick your spots. It only spreads them.

%26amp;. Eat healthily and get plenty of sleep.

    9. Go to your GP and check you don;t have an intolerence to a type of food. I absolutly love cereal and couldnt stop eating and my skin was awful. Turned out I had an intolerence to wheat! Make sure you check!

    10. If you have a school holiday coming up, vow to yourself to do everything you can to clear up your skin. Trust me it works if you stick to it!

    Or use Clearasil
Try to exfoliate your face as often as you can and use hot water so as to open up your pores! That new freederm cream is apparently really good, maybe you could try that! ...ooh and toothpaste helps them to go down too! If none of this works, maybe you should visit a doctor and see if he can prescribe something!
One thing for sure.. stop using all these products! Trust me, they're rubbish and they just ruin your face. No doubt about it.

And try having a good diet.. 8 glasses of water a day, 5 fruits (yes 5!), and don't unnecessarily touch your face! It causes spots

When you wash your face only use water.. nothing else, like soap its not good for you!

    Good luck =) Hope I helped x
    its like whack-a-mole unfortunately .

there are always hormones balancing or unbalancing.

all you can do is eat well and clean regularly x
